Biochemistry Department
Overview
Biochemistry is the study of chemical processes in living organisms. This subject is taught during the first year of M.B.B.S. course. The purpose of this subject is to impart knowledge and understanding to the undergraduate students regarding structure, function and interrelationship of bimolecules and consequences of deviation from normal. At the end of the course, the student should be able to make use of conventional techniques and instruments to perform biochemical analysis relevant to clinical screening and diagnosis and should be able to analyze and interpret investigative data.
